It’s been an exciting time for the web team involved with 360 diversity. The website that we created has been instrumental in helping Core Assets win the 2010 EFA & EFB Best Small Organisation (under 1,000 employees) award.
The Employers Forum on Age (EFA) and Employers Forum on Belief (EFB) Awards were created to showcase organisations that have shown a clear commitment to tackling discrimination in the workplace.
The Award
The awards are particularly aimed at organisations that have demonstrated innovative and outstanding ways to tackle discrimination on the grounds of age, religion or beliefs.
The significance of this award can be appreciated by the high calibre of other entrants which included well known organisations such as MacDonald’s, the Home Office and Marks & Spencer.
Purpose of the Website
360 diversity is a solution that helps organisations demonstrate their commitment to diversity, promote communication and exceed targets that are set in legislation. It has specialist sections on the 6 strands of diversity which are: Age, Disability, Gender, Race & Ethnicity, Religion & Belief and Sexual Orientation.
The Solution
Our work involved producing a comprehensive back-end system that integrates with the company’s intranet, active directory infrastructure and the company’s whole computer network. This allows employees to gain access to up-to-date news, get facts on internal policies and interact with other employees via a forum.
The Future
360 diversity has been in place with Core Assets for 4 months and been very well-received. The system is now available to other organisations through the recently released public facing website, www.360diversity.com. It is aimed at organisations that wish to exceed the targets placed on them by legislation and to raise the awareness of diversity-related issues.
